Social on Weekends was born from a desire to create celebration stationery that makes you smile and feel seen: it’s not taking yourself too seriously and it’s serious business. Weddings have a reputation for being all pomp and circumstance, but so few of us would call ourselves “stuffy.” Why should your invitation feel that way?
We believe there’s a way to balance formality with fun, and the best way to do that is by sourcing divine inspiration: you! Your story, your humor, your event — all of it will help us take words and paper and transform it into your guests’ excitement for the world’s best party: yours. Let’s forget the so-called “musts” and have fun with it: y’all deserve it.
Jess (she/her) has never been the coolest girl at the party. She saw Mean Girls in theaters at 12 and came away from that experience thinking she should become a mathlete (if that tells you anything).
While she may be a bit of a wallflower, her many introverted nights in did build character through the teachings of books and rom coms, and with that a writer and lover of all things love emerged. Now 10+ years into her career as a stationer, she’s delighted to have found a vocation that allows her to spend her days preserving declarations of forever love on paper — and that gives her free reign to work from home (where her cats are).
